For me, working as an independent contractor is about creating a safe and accepting space where individuals can explore their thoughts and feelings about a situation. I strongly believe everyone needs a safe place to explore to be heard and to be seen without external or societal pressures.

I am excited about this journey of self-employment, as I have 14-years experience in community mental health organizations and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
I have experience working with children (10+), adolescents, young adults, and adults. I have strong ties to the Niagara Region as I grew up here. I completed my B.A. majoring in Psychology at Brock University, worked for The Oak Centre Clubhouse in Welland, Ontario, and Canadian Mental Health Association – Niagara Branch as a Community Support Worker.

While I also have a strong connection to Kingston, Ontario, having worked 11-years as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist for Addiction and Mental Health Services - KFLA. This experience of supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illness provided individuals to rediscover their identity and what they value, while fine-tuning coping strategies and making personal changes to obtain their individualistic holistic goals.
